Pub Crawl Two - The White Way

Pub Crawl Two This route visits all of the pubs with the word white in their name.
Starting at the The White Swan you will have the choice of three ales including Green King IPA, and two guest ales. This is a great pub in the city centre that has avoided the move towards a trendy bar and remains a good old fashioned boozer with a good atmosphere.

Exit the White Swan and turning right walk past the Boot and Peahen down London Road for about 200 yards and turn right at the Beehive. Fifty yards past the Beehive is the White Hart Tap. This pub serves some very good real ales. Expect to find London Pride, Deuchars IPA and three other unusual guest ales. The White Hart Tap is a great traditional pub with a pleasant atmosphere.

Come out of the White Hart Tap and turn right. After about 100 yards turn right into Sopwell Lane, third right after exiting the White Hart Tap.
The White Lion is on the right, opposite the Hare and Hounds. The White Lion normally has six real ales on including Black Sheep and Youngs Special as standard and four ever-changing guest ales.

After sampling the ales from the White Lion exit the pub and turn right along Sopwell Lane. Go past the Goat and turn right at the end of the road into Holywell Hill. The White Hart Hotel is about 100 yards up the hill on the right. This pub can have three or four ales if you're lucky but they do seem to run out quite often. The room at the far side of the bar is quite cosy.
Exit the White Hart Hotel and continue up the hill back to the city centre.
