The Ancient Briton in St Albans was taken over by the Harvesters restaurant chain a few years back and therefore it is now primarily a restaurant with a bar area at the side.
Unfortunately the bar doesn't serve real ale; the closest they have is chilled Bombardier or IPA from a tap.
