Review
The King Offa in St Albans is a fairly large two bar pub located to serve the residents of the Cottonmill Estate.
One bar has a pool table, dartboard and a jukebox whilst the other bar has a plasma tv showing sport and fairly comfortable seating including bamboo conservertory style chairs. Both bars are separated by the central serving area.
The actual building was built in the 1960's and has little character. As the review took place on a Monday night there was only a couple of others in the pub but I suspect that this place never gets particularly busy.
Flowers IPA only cost £1.90 (not sure if this was a Monday night special price) but it didn't taste that great.
Live music takes place on the last Saturday of each month and apparantly the King Offa has Wi-Fi facilities provided by The Cloud.
This place is okay for a beer if you live on the local estate but most would prefer to venture into the city centre where there are some excellent pubs.
